| Comments: This book didn't crack the finishing code for me. I was hoping it would, but it didn't. L'erario has a fun, self-deprecating style that is fun to read. He takes pretty much everything with a grain of salt and sometimes it's nice to not take things so seriously. He addresses finishing from the approach of the items you might commonly find at your local big box home center. While he tries to break things down and make it simple, I got the impression that the author has such a good grasp on the concept that he really can't explain it simply. A bummer of a Catch 22. There is a lot of good information here and, just because I didn't crack the code, doesn't mean that this book won't do it for everyone else. Definitely worth a look. | |
