Not a book for beginner's or even intermediate wood workers but for the advanced or the professional this is a book full of good plans and ideas for 18th century furniture

This book is merely a cut-and-paste version of Glen Huey's earlier books. Moreover, the cut-and paste approach has led to numerous errors that even cursory proof-reading should have picked up. See the Amazon reviews for more opinions.

I am a little disappointed by this book. I expected a lot more of it in terms of completeness and accuracy. Unfortunately, there are some frustrating issues with it.
1. There are multiple references to other areas in the book that may or may not exist. Some send you to the wrong page, others send you to sections that don't even exist!
2. References to magazine issues that one has to try and find are not helpful, and occur in at least one location that I saw.
3. There is a reference to a non-existing CD-ROM for additional information...clearly a lift from an earlier book.
This book is not for a beginner or novice woodworker, and assumes a fair amount of prior knowledge and skill in woodworking techniques. The directions are more like basic steps, that leave it to the builder to fill in the gaps.
Plans are of a PW magazine type...certainly not the "complete plans" referenced in adverts.
All the above said, the book does present some beautiful pieces, with enough information for an experienced woodworker to be able to duplicate much of them. The continued references to other areas of the book are annoying, but I'm sure meant to save space and keep costs down.
Still, a little more attention to detail in editing and reviewing would have gone a long way towards making this book better and more rewarding.
Like other reviewers, I a bit disappointed. I expected better. Luckily, there are other writers and publishers who take a little more time and care in their work.
